Nicos Gun

it to the Piazza last night for the Philly F/M Fest preview, you missed out big
time. Last night I fell madly in love with Philly’s own Nicos Gun and their
seriously fun party music. This band will get you grooving to every song with
funky beats and deliciously heavy keyboards.
Nicos Gun played an energetic show that got everyone dancing. Even their rendition of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” couldn’t be more spot-on. Singer and guitarist Barney Cortez has the perfect pitch for the band’s dance/punk sound. Not surprisingly, this band has some serious talent behind it. Drummer Harry Zelnick actually won a Grammy at 17 for his work with Ludacris. Additionally, Cortez has collaborated on guitar with the Roots. Nicos Gun doesn’t sound like anything else out today, and their track “Party Cult” is sure to get your pulse pumping. Don’t miss Nicos Gun at the Sunday BBQ on September 25th at the Ukie Club Field Stage from 3:00 to 3:30 for $35. Make sure to bring a belt because you WILL dance your pants off!
